Ryan Clark, of the Northamptonshire Biodiversity Records Centre, will be leading this event from 10am – 12.30pm on 16th June 2018.
Ryan is an entomologist (studies insects!) and botanist (knows about plant biology!). He will be helping us to identify insects on the reserve and to record what we find.
The records of species recorded on the day will be submitted to the Northants Biodiversity Centre Database. All welcome!
Tuesday July 10th 2018 : 6.00pm -8.00pm – All Welcome
Butterfly Recorders David James and Douglas Goddard (author of Butterflies of Northamptonshire) of the Butterfly Conservation Trust will be at Mill Park Reserve on Tuesday July 10th between 6pm and 8pm.
Come along for an early evening butterfly identification walk and help celebrate the trust’s 50th anniversary year by showing your support for the fascinating, colourful and vital study of butterfly conservation.
This is a rare opportunity to learn about the work of the Northants butterfly recorders and pose any questions you have about the Butterfly Conservation Trust and the state of Britain’s butterflies to two of Northants leading lepidopterists ‘in the field’ and all on your doorstep at Mill Park Reserve.
For further information contact Jayne on 843385.
Cotton End Park volunteers meet each Sunday morning and occasionally during the week.
Mill Park Reserve working parties are the first Saturday of the month 10am–1pm and every Thursday 9am-1pm.
