The Mill Park Reserve trustees are currently seeking a Treasurer to manage the incoming funds and outgoing expenditure of this well-loved local nature reserve. As a conservation charity we provide a place for local people and wildlife to co-exist in safe and natural surroundings and opportunities for anyone who wishes to get involved in developing their wildlife and conservation skills. We also welcome those who simply want to enjoy outdoor activities and join forces with a friendly team.
The role requires attendance at 4 two-hourly meetings per year (held on a Monday evening) and to assume the role of a Trustee and contribute as a member of the management committee. We have a small number of committed volunteers who undertake practical tasks on the reserve and more recently have established a mini field centre that is used by visitors for a variety of purposes, from education to outdoor fun. If you feel you have the time, skill and passion to dedicate a couple of hours each week to maintaining the charity’s accounts, providing updates to the committee and generally overseeing the charity’s funds we would love to hear from you.
Team work, commitment, and a love of wildlife and conservation are the greatest skills that our Trustees have. If you have basic ability in maths, the ability to be organised and keep records and would like to join a team of volunteers who are passionate about all things green, get in touch and help us care for this local bit of our planet.
